Our stores

UA BookStores operates five stores on campus, including the flagship store in the Student Union Memorial Center, a medical store in Arizona Health Sciences Center, McKale Sports Stop and Wildcat Threads—two sports apparel retail stores—located in McKale Memorial Center and the UA Rec Center, and a bookstore on the UA South campus in Sierra Vista. UA BookStores also operates two A-Stores in Tucson Mall and Park Place in cooperation with UA's Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing, an A-Store in UAs Downtown Campus, and gift shops in Biosphere2 and UA Poetry Center.

UA BookStores works closely with University administration, faculty and staff members to identify the needs of our students and to provide everything they require to be prepared for class and to enhance the learning experience at a minimal cost. This is accomplished through a series of cost-saving initiatives, including the buying and selling of used textbooks, textbook rental programs, the introduction of electronic textbooks and course materials, competitive pricing on school supplies, and aggressive discounting on technology and software for use in the classroom.

The University of Arizona BookStores is known as an innovative leader in the college bookstore industry and was ranked 9th in the country out of 250 colleges by the International College Bookstores Association (ICBA) in 2009. UA BookStores leadership is guiding the organization into a successful new era of digital resource consumption with a new focus on the role technology plays in the learning and instructional environments in higher education and they are constantly looking for innovative ideas to reduce the overall costs of classroom resources.
