Are you guys a lease operation?

No. The University of Arizona BookStores is a part of The University of Arizona, specifically a department within the Division of Student Affairs, meaning we have a vested interest in the academic success of our students. In fact, every dollar spent with UA BookStores is funneled back into the University community, supporting student scholarships, clubs, employment, student government and more. Do you utilize student fees or tuition money to subsidize operational costs?

Absolutely not. UA BookStores is a self-sufficient auxiliary department that operates without aid from student tuition or fees. In fact, not only is UA BookStores self-sufficient, we actually contribute (with your support) large amounts of funding to support other campus departments, including the Daily Wildcat, UApresents, and Intercollegiate Athletics. Are you hiring?

We are always reviewing applications and we’ll begin interviewing for temporary student positions for our peak Fall and Spring seasons in June and October, respectively. Prospective can complete an online employment application. Available professional staff positions will be listed on the University’s job listing website: www.uacareertrack.com.

Can you donate product to use as giveaways
for an event that I'm hosting?

Maybe. The first thing we need to do is to download and submit a completed Donation Request Form. The form can be faxed to us or dropped off at the Administration Offices on the third floor of UA BookStores in the Student Union Memorial Center on the UA Campus.

Please allow ten business days to receive and process your request. Rush requests will not be considered for donation.

Do you operate the store in the mall?

If you’ve spotted the University’s “A” logo in the Tucson Mall or Park Place, those are indeed our stores. You may be interested to know that those two stores in particular operate as off-campus learning labs for our students in the Terry J. Lundgren Center for Retailing. We also have a third A-Store at the UA Downtown Campus.

Can we shop at UA BookStores if we’re not students?

Absolutely. Although UA BookStores exists to provide academic resources for our current university students, anybody is welcome (and encouraged) to shop in the store and online. It’s important to note, though, that some of our offerings are available only to current UA students, faculty and staff members (specifically, a few of our technology discounts). But we welcome your patronage and are happy to assist in any way we can. Thank you for supporting our students and campus community.
