Your official campus bookstore!

We are The University of Arizona BookStores—your official on-campus bookstore. What does “official” mean? It means that we exist as an organization because of and for our students, working with faculty and your student government to help reduce the cost of college attendance, and making sure we’re providing the highest quality classroom resources at the lowest possible cost to help you succeed in school.

It does not mean that you’re obligated to shop with us—we know you have choices as to where to find your classroom supplies and UA gear. But it does mean that every penny that you spend with us goes back to support student and campus initiatives. Every penny. How many of those other guys can say that? For example:

  • STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS—We distribute nearly $15,000 to students every year in the form of scholarships, $10,000 of which is textbook scholarships to help curb the increasing costs of college attendance.
  • STUDENT EMPLOYMENT—We employ over 600 students every year at competitive student wages, and often times in positions within their chosen career field. Employment at the BookStores comes with a slew of terrific benefits, including big student discounts, book loans for eligible employees (last year we loaned out over $90,000 in textbooks) and incredibly flexible scheduling from managers who put your academics as a priority.
  • SUPPORT FOR STUDENT CLUBS—We gave over $790,000 to your student government (ASUA) last year to support student-led clubs and organizations.

Textbooks

The fact of the matter is that textbooks will be one of your biggest expenses while you’re in college, and—regardless of how much any of us want to make them cheaper—textbooks are just plain expensive.

Happily, YOU HAVE OPTIONS. We’ve gone through countless hurdles to bring you not only new and used textbooks, but rental options, eTextbooks, Class Notes, and partnerships with big brands like Amazon.com and Chegg.com to help you save money on your textbook purchases AND give back to your campus community. We even provide links to the library on your booklist when the book is available for checkout for free

Technology

We’ve worked with big technology brand names like Apple®, DellTM, Adobe®, Microsoft® and others to bring our students HUGE discounts on computers and software.
