Are you eligible to get software through the Campus License Agreement?
Do you use a computer that is owned or leased by the University of Arizona? Are you a faculty or staff member? You can get popular Apple or Microsoft software (operating systems and applications that can cost hundreds of dollars) through the UAs Campus Licensing Agreement. Visit the "Products" tab for download links, or the Technology Center downstairs in the UA BookStores, SUMC for discs.
There is no cost to you for a downloaded version of the software if your UA Login lists you as a faculty or staff member. Not networked? If you want the software on a disc, there is a charge (see below). Sorry, but this program is not for students.
Apple License Media:
Media can be special ordered through the Technology Center in UA BookStores, SUMC for $15. Users also have the option to burn one copy of the software to a disk for use on a personal machine. Microsoft License Media:
Media can be purchased at the Technology Center in UA BookStores, SUMC ($5 for a CD, $10 for a DVD). Users also have the option of borrowing the media from UA BookStores. For more information, visit the Technology Center on the lower level of UA BookStores SUMC or call 520-621-8897.
The Campus License Agreement is a centralized campus agreement which provides a cost-effective solution for supplying The University of Arizona with its required software. The agreements are funded by the Office of the CIO and managed by the UA BookStores Licensing Office, located on the lower level of UA BookStores, SUMC. Computers which are owned or leased by The University of Arizona are covered by the Campus License Agreements for the duration of the contract. The Microsoft Campus Agreement is an annual agreement effective through April 30, 2012. Apple License Agreement products are effective through July 1, 2012. It provides departments, faculty, and staff access to Microsoft's and Apple's popular computer software, including operating systems and desktop productivity tools.
