Birthday Parties
UA BookStores is now hosting children's birthday parties at the main Student Union Memorial Center location. An extension of our Wildcats Advocating Literacy and Knowledge (W.A.L.K.) program, UA BookStores has assembled a series of birthday themes that correspond to children's books and encourage reading and learning. The event includes balloon decorations, crafts, storybook readings and more. Cake/cupcakes, snacks, food and gift bags are also available!
What are the benefits?
The W.A.L.K. Birthday Party Program was developed by UA BookStores staff members who have formal training and real experience teaching in the elementary classroom setting to help promote the love of reading and learning in children. The costs are used only to cover labor and materials costs incurred. This isn't for profit, this is for the kids.
How much does it cost?
Standard Party Package—about 90 minutes of fun, up to twelve children, $150
Includes: balloons, one craft, story time & two UA BookStores party attendants, PLUS a $25 bookstore gift card for the birthday boy or girl!
- Cupcakes $1.25 each (provided by the University of Arizona Student Union)
- 24-serving cake, $15
- 48-serving cake, $25
- Gift Bags, $7 each— includes bookstore bag & children's book (book may vary)
- Addition attendees, $10 per kid, 24 kids max
